The Refresh Conference

The Refresh Conference

May 2, 2026

Join us for a day specifically designed to refresh ministry leaders as we dive into this year's theme of Leading with HelpWe have crafted purposeful large group sessions, breakout sessions and networking opportunities, along with powerful worship, intentional times of prayer and practical ways to lead with the help of the Holy Spirit.

For several generations across the Western church landscape, there has been a noticeable divide between ’Bible Churches’ and ‘Holy Spirit Churches’. Certain churches major in teaching the Bible thoughtfully, intellectually, and exegetically, but the experience of the Holy Spirit is largely absent.

Other churches major on the ecstatic experiences attributed to the Holy Spirit but tend to diminish the Bible to a shallow script for spiritual pep talks.

The Holy Spirit depicted by Jesus as the bonding agent to unify the church, has somehow become the dividing agent of the church. We in the body of Christ have turned Him into an either / or way of leading the church.

The Leading With Help Refresh Conference is about both/and, not either/or. Christian  leaders today need the Help of the Holy Spirit, and the Help of strong Biblical teaching to successfully lead The Church in our world today. We must say ‘Yes to the Holy Bible’, and in the same breath say, ‘Yes to the Holy Spirit.’ We must desire Biblical exegesis and words of prophecy.

All within our efforts to obey Jesus in making disciples of all nations.

Main Speaker

Jason Ishmael

Jason was called to ministry at 12 and is doing exactly what he loves to do the most. He and his wife Brittney were married in 2006 and have 4 children. He graduated from St. Louis Christian College with a B.A. in Preaching and later from Lincoln Christian University with an M.A. in Church History/Historical Theology. If there’s anything you should know about him, it’s that he doesn’t do anything halfway. From ministry to a handful of ridiculous hobbies, he’s all in. Just ask him what he did to his kid’s power wheels toy.

Jason presently serves as the lead pastor at Antioch Christian Church in Marion, Iowa.
